Looking for a sophisticated alternative to a box spring? Our Classic Base is upholstered in an organic cotton canvas fabric, with a clean, minimalist design. Built from solid wood with a slatted surface on top, for maximum breathability and moisture flow.

This versatile base can be made to stand alone with wood legs, or made without legs to be dropped into an existing frame (to raise the height of the mattress).

Dimensions


While heights of 4" or 8" are pretty standard, we commonly build our bases anywhere from 3" to 10" in height. Please contact us for a custom height or leave a note on your order.

You can choose to add legs for a stand-alone base. The round legs will add 5" to the height of the base and the square legs add 6". Stand-alone bases are made to standard dimensions:

Twin: 75"L x 38"W
Twin XL: 80"L x 38"W
Full: 75"L x 54"W
Queen: 80"L x 60"W
King: 80"L x 76"W

Alternatively, you can choose to add no legs, if you want to use the base like a box spring, inside of an existing frame. In this case, we require the internal dimensions of your frame. Please read through our Choosing a Foundation Guide for more information on how to measure your frame.

Please note: our King bases are always built split (in two halves) for ease of use when moving. As they are split they require double legs at a cost of $150.00 for the set.

    Our bases are made from solid wood and upholstered in 100% organic cotton 10oz canvas fabric (GOTS certified).
