Say hello to our Padded Bed Base, a beautiful, sleek, customizable platform bed. This base is built from solid wood with a slatted surface on top for maximum breathability and moisture flow, and padded with wool for a softer look. Our Padded Base can be upholstered in organic cotton canvas fabric as well as a variety of more colorful options (some examples are shown in the photos above).

This versatile base is made to stand alone with wood legs. We offer a choice of brown-black square legs, dark brown round legs, or natural round legs.

Custom fabric pricing is shown above. Other than the Organic Cotton Canvas, each fabric book contains many colors to choose from. For this reason, please reach out to us for the options or visit our showroom to see them in person.

Dimensions


Our standard padded base is 8" in height (without the legs). While an 8" height is pretty standard, we commonly build our bases anywhere from 3" to 10" in height. Please contact us for a custom height or leave a note on your order.

The Padded Base comes with legs for a stand-alone platform. The round legs will add 5" to the height of the base and the square legs add 6". Stand-alone bases are made to standard dimensions:

Twin: 75"L x 38"W
Twin XL: 80"L x 38"W
Full: 75"L x 54"W
Queen: 80"L x 60"W
King: 80"L x 76"W

Please note: our King bases are always built split (in two halves) for ease of use when moving.

    Materials


    Our bases are made from solid wood and upholstered in 100% organic cotton 10oz canvas fabric (GOTS certified) or semi-natural custom fabrics. Wooden frame is padded with wool batting.
