Our Suffolk mattress is the most popular and recommended option for children. A classic design featuring high quality wool, natural cotton and a durable spring (or a natural talalay latex core) makes the Suffolk a supportive and long-lasting choice that will keep up with your child as they grow. 

This mattress is flippable and rotatable, which allows the natural fibres to rest and bounce back after being compressed.

Core Types


Our Kids' Suffolk comes in three different core options:

Bonnell Spring

  • Classic interconnected spring which provides a firm feel with uniform support throughout the mattress. This spring has a bit more bounce to it and is only available in Twin or Full sizes.

Pocket Coil Spring

  • Individually wrapped coils which conform to the body and provide a medium-firm feel. Comfortable for adults as well as kids and reduces motion transfer.

Natural Talalay Latex

  • Using a latex core instead of a spring creates a lower profile mattress (6-7" height) with a lighter weight. This option is perfect for bunk beds, trundle beds, or for any frame with a height restriction.

Dimensions


The Suffolk Pocket Coil and Bonnell have a 12" depth.
The Suffolk Talalay Latex Core has a 7-8" depth.

We adhere to standard dimensions as much as possible. Please note the dimensions are give or take an inch, as our mattresses are handmade and materials can vary.

Materials


Bonnell Springs are interconnected, denser coils.

Pocket Coils are individually wrapped, contouring the body, and reduce motion transfer.

Natural Talalay Latex is rubber from the rubber tree (Hevea Brasiliensis). It is free of chemicals and synthetic add-ins and comes in many densities to choose from. Cradle-to-Cradle Gold, Oeko-Tex 100 (Product Class 1), and Eco Institut certified.

Care


This mattress must be flipped once every 3 months at a minimum. We strongly recommend making sure you have the proper foundation to support your mattress. For more information visit our Choosing a Foundation page.

We recommend using a mattress protector to prevent spills and stains from damaging your mattress. A great option for kids is our Organic Cotton Waterproof Protector.
